Tell us a little about how you got to your current success level.
L.R.: I have been a hard worker my whole life, I dare dream, to believe and to fight for what I wish and desire. My attitude is to never give up on anything and to surpass myself on a daily basis. I always say that hard work, dedication and consistency walk together and they pay off.
That is my secret to success along with all the people who inspire me to keep getting stronger and stronger every day and that I will always represent the best I can.
That’s what makes the difference. Those are my reasons to succeed.
What do you think is the number one thing keeping you motivated?

Without any doubt, the people who support me daily…My lovely family, friends, fans and my sponsors. They are my true and pure strength and inspiration.
What is your training routine like?

My routine is based in what works the best for me, after years of knowledge and practice so I have to remember all readers that we are all different so what is the best for me may not be the best for another person. Please, keep that in mind.
I am always making small adjustments to my training program, when I feel the need for that. But, I personally like high-repetitions with low-weight, however it also depends on your current goal and how your body reacts. Again, we are all different.
Below is an example for my weekly routine:
- Day 1: Legs/Calves/Glutes and 1 hour and half of cardio later;
- Day 2: Hot Yoga – 90min and 45 min of cardio later;
- Day 3: Shoulders/Chest/Triceps and 1 hour and half of cardio;
- Day 4: Hot Yoga – 90min and 45 min of cardio;
- Day 5: Back/Lower Back/Biceps and 1 hour and half of cardio later;
- Day 6: Hot Yoga – 90min and 45 min of cardio later;
- Day 7: OFF
What kind of cardio do you feel works best for you?
As you can see above, is the schedule for my cardio routine (Hot Yoga included).
As far as intensity I like to mix that, sometimes medium intensity, sometimes high intensity, and even sometimes alternate between both in the same session. Never keep your workout the same, challenge yourself.
What do you think of free weight vs. machine training?

In my view there is no vs. between the two, they both complete each other. I always mix them in my regimen, and I think that’s the right approach.
When I want to isolate a specific muscle I prefer machines, otherwise I use free weight which is better for overall development. If you are worried about the correct posture when carrying more weight, go with machine too, it’s a lot safer regarding injuries.
My final tip is for you to never exclude free weight or machine training, always combine them. It will be much more effective.
How does your on and off season training and diet differ?
Not much, my training doesn’t change just because it’s pre-contest or off-season (weight training), I just do small adjustments when I feel my body needs to.
As far as cardio, when I’m preparing for a competition I add more and in off-season I return to my base line.
Lastly, as many of you may already know I like to eat clean mostly year round, off-season I just change my post-workout shake with VoluGro (carbohydrates + creatine) and/or Creatine Drive (creatine) and of course I always have a special treat here and there. But nothing more.
What top 3 tips you can give to our readers regarding nutrition?
They are basic but essential and a lot of people tend to forget them.
1- Don’t underestimate your diet, it’s crucial to your health and it makes huge differences when it comes to changing your physique.
2- Don’t let it get bored and flavorless, try new ideas, new recipes and new seasonings. You will be surprised how tasty healthy food can be.
3- Try to do 5-6 small portion meals during the day, always containing different sources of protein, veggies, healthy fats and in some of them low glycemic carbohydrates (try them near the time you workout, before and after).

What’s your diet like?
Keep in mind that small adjustments are made from time to time.
Meal 1:
- Egg Whites

OR

Meal 5:

Do you believe in cheat meals? Why or why not?
Not really, because I believe in consistency. But we are also human and we all need special treats and rewards, to keep motivated, to break the routine and to shock the body, so why not do that occasionally?! (remember… occasionally!)
Which physical feature you are most proud of?

I work very hard daily to have a balanced body in all aspects. But my legs have always been a strong point of mine. Due to genetics, which I can say thank you to my parents and also due to my background, bicycle was my transport every day for many, many years.

What supplements do you use if any? If not, why not?
I use the Nutrex Research line, they are simply the best on what they do and the feedback is undeniable everywhere.Muscle Infusion as my protein, it contains 7 different sources of protein and the taste is just amazing and goes well with every recipe, not only shakes!
Defy and BCAA Drive as my aminoacids, to help my recovery, resistance and to help prevent any muscle loss (anti-catabolic effect).
Pre-workout I alternate between Hemo-Rage UC and the TurboShots, both are great and it’s simply impossible to have a bad workout with them. Focus and energy are intense!
When pre-contest, I prefer Lipo 6 UC, because it helps me maintaining my good mood and energy all day long (which is very difficult and essential at that time), plus the leaning effect is outstanding.
Finally off-season I like to add to my post-workout shake the VoluGro and/or the Creatine Drive for the carbohydrates and creatine.
As you can see, Nutrex gets you covered on everything.
Favorite Bodybuilders, models, or athletes?
My teammates, Nathalia Melo, Stephanie Mahoe, my friend Oksana Grishina, Monica Brant that continues to be an idol for me. And of course, the brazilian women that have always inspired me a lot, and continue to do so!
Do you listen to music while you workout?

Yes! I simply love music and I can’t live without it. Specially during my workouts, house music is my favorite!!

I also like to see movies, to go to good parties, where good house music is played, and so on…

Nothing, if we don’t like ourselves who will?!
Keep that in mind.

What last 3 tips would you give to our readers to reach their fitness goals?
The trick is to pursue our dreams, no matter what. We can achieve whatever we want in life. We just need to believe and work hard for it. Sure it takes time, but that time will come and will worth it.
Find your inspirations, what drives you, music, athletes, models, family, friends… It will help you pass the hardest times with more strength and easily. Also, surround yourself with positive people, it will make a huge difference on a daily basis;
Finally, always, I mean always put a beautiful smile and enjoy the process of it and life itself. That’s the magic.
