Question: If you could give one piece of advice on training what would it be?
Always have short and long term goals, without goals you will never feel like anything has been achieved.
Question: Do you believe in high intensity cardio or long duration cardio gives your body best fat burning results?
I believe interval cardio training works best for fat burning! increasing your heart rate to 85-90% of its max for approx a minute then letting in come back down to 60% of max for 2 mins, cardio like this for 20-30 minutes will strip body fat and hold onto your hard earned muscle.
Question: What ratio of protein, carbs, and fats do you try to stick with pre- and off-season?
60 protein / 20 carbs / 20 fats. This will remain the same year round but the quantity of the food will change not the ratio.
Question: What would you say is the best way to fight food cravings?
Coffee or Green Tea helps me fight food cravings. Also, having 1 cheat meal a week is a good way to reward yourself for a hard week dieting and keep you on track mentally and physically for the week ahead.
Question: If you could only recommend one supplement to use what would it be?
My choc mint ‘Ultimate Performance supplements’ Protein Powder (ISO +85). I have it for breakfast and post training. It tastes so good you think you’re cheating! Ha ha.
Question: What one training or nutrition “secret” would you like share with our readers that have worked well for you?
