Top 10 Supplements for a Rock Hard Healthy Body!
Today all you hear about on TV and on the radio are supplements for everything and anything. The truth is a large majority of these supplements are doing nothing for you but costing you money. In fact I believe many of them are even making you sick.
I’ve been in this business for over 27 years and I’ve never been big on supplementation. It’s like I’ve always said:
“If God made it Use it, if Man made it Lose it”
Well never fear the Superman of Fitness is here with my Top 10 list of the only true supplements you need for developing and maintain a rock hard healthy body.
So much has been proven that whey protein can help build strong healthy muscles but not just that, whey protein is great for your immune system as well. It’s also a great source of calcium for those you out there that don’t drink milk or consume much dairy
This amino acid is crucial for the development of muscles and for the repair of muscles but it doesn’t just stop there L- Glutamine is also responsible for intestinal health by strengthening the walls of the intestine.
#3 Green Tea
I love this stuff I drink at least a cup of hot organic green tea on a daily basis. Not only does it help me to lose body fat it also improves the color and texture of your skin it’s truly a must have supplement.
#4 Multi Vitamin- Multi mineral
I take a good Multi Vitamin- Multi mineral every day right after breakfast. It’s said that when you eat healthy you don’t need them, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Plus a good Multi Vitamin- Multi mineral is loaded with vitamins and minerals you may not be getting from your daily diet.
#5 Vitamin C
This is a pretty simple supplement to get and it’s almost a must because without enough vitamin C in your diet your body will just plain and simple break down. Vitamin C is loaded with anti-Oxidants’ so don’t forget to take at least 1,000 mg daily.
#6 Vitamin D
This is a must have vitamin especially in cold weather when you’re not getting enough sunlight. Vitamin D is responsible for so many things in the body and without it you will feel symptoms of anxiety, depression as well as catching colds and flus more often. Take at least 2,000 IU per day.
These minerals are more food related than supplements but I cannot begin to stress how many people are low in potassium. This is why, most people either consume too much salt or not enough salt and this controls the amount of potassium in your body. In other words your body cannot make potassium without sodium so they work hand and hand.
A good rule of thumb is to keep your sodium intake around 1,500 to 2,200 a day and your potassium amounts should triple that. You will soon see how much stronger and healthier you feel just by doing this.
This is a pretty cool supplement that has helped me from time to get better sleep. It’s basically the precursor to the neurotransmitters serotonin and melatonin from tryptophan. You know when you eat a big turkey dinner on thanksgiving you feel tired after, well that’s the tryptophan found inside the turkey. This supplement is better than taking tryptophan because it’s already broken down. I used to take 100 mg 2 hours before bed for improved mood and sleep.
#9 Flax seed Oil
There’s nothing better for you than flax seed oil. It’s sold in a bottle and is located in the refrigerated section of your health store.
Flax seed oil is loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids that are found in fish but even better yet there also loaded with fat burning digestive enzymes that help you break down food faster.
More a spice than a supplement, cinnamon is loaded with stuff I can’t even begin to describe how important it is for the body. I also believe it increases testosterone.
But in any case cinnamon is a great spice that will make your body disease free in a very short time by killing any bad bacteria in the gut as well as promoting good glucose levels in the blood stream which helps in weight loss and over good health.
Well there you have it!
